Sun Requirements: Full sun
Water Requirements: Low; drought tolerant once established
Height: 3–6 feet
Bloom Time: Late spring through summer
Description:
A striking Texas native perennial with clusters of creamy white, sunflower-like blooms held above coarse, deep green foliage. White Rosinweed is highly attractive to native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators while providing seeds for birds later in the season. Its deep root system makes it exceptionally resilient to drought, making it an outstanding choice for native prairies, pollinator gardens, and water-wise landscapes.
Planting Tips:
- Plant in full sun and well-drained soil
- Water regularly during establishment, then only during prolonged drought
- Leave seed heads standing through fall and winter for birds and wildlife
- Cut back in late winter before new growth emerges
Ideal Season for Planting in Texas: Fall through spring
