Purple Threeawn (Aristida purpurea)

Description:
A graceful native bunchgrass with airy seed heads that develop attractive purple hues as they mature. Purple Threeawn thrives in dry, rocky soils and is well suited for xeriscapes, prairie restorations, and native landscapes. Its delicate texture adds movement and seasonal color while providing habitat and cover for wildlife.

Planting Tips:

  • Plant in full sun with well-drained soil
  • Avoid overwatering or rich soils, which can reduce vigor
