Description:
A vigorous native perennial vine with spectacular purple and white fringed flowers followed by edible, egg-shaped fruits called maypops. The fragrant blooms attract bees and other pollinators, while the foliage is an important host for Gulf Fritillary and Variegated Fritillary butterflies. Excellent for wildlife gardens, fences, trellises, and arbors.
