Description:
Little Bluestem is a Texas native warm-season bunchgrass known for its upright blue-green foliage that turns copper, red, and orange in fall. Silvery seed heads provide texture and winter interest while supporting birds and beneficial insects. A foundational prairie species for low-water landscapes.

Planting Tips:

Plant in well-drained soil; tolerates sandy, rocky, and clay soils.
Avoid heavy fertilization or excessive irrigation.
Cut back to 4–6 inches in late winter before new growth begins.
Very heat- and drought-tolerant once established.
