Description:
Lindheimer’s Senna (also known as Velvet Leaf Senna or Lindheimer’s Cassia) is a drought-tolerant Texas native perennial known for its soft, velvety gray-green foliage and bright yellow, pea-like blooms that attract butterflies and native bees. It serves as a larval host plant for the Cloudless Sulphur and Sleepy Orange butterflies. This tough, sun-loving plant thrives in poor soils and adds bold texture and pollinator value to native and xeriscape gardens.
