Description:
A low-growing native Texas grass prized for its distinctive curly seed heads and excellent drought tolerance. Curly Mesquite forms a soft, attractive groundcover that thrives in hot, dry conditions with minimal care. Ideal for xeriscapes, native lawns, prairie plantings, and erosion control, it also provides forage and habitat for wildlife.

Planting Tips:

  • Plant in full sun and well-drained soil
  • Water regularly until established, then only during extended drought
  • Mow occasionally for a tidy appearance or leave natural for a prairie look
  • Avoid excessive fertilization and overwatering
