Pink Muhly (Muhlenbergia capillaris)

Sun Requirements: Full sun to partial shade

Water Requirements: Low; drought tolerant once established

Description:
A showy native ornamental grass known for spectacular clouds of airy pink flower plumes that appear in fall. Its fine-textured green foliage forms an attractive clump throughout the growing season, while the feathery blooms create dramatic color and movement. Excellent for mass plantings, borders, xeriscapes, and native landscapes.

Planting Tips:

  • Plant in full sun for the densest growth and best flowering
  • Prefers well-drained soil but adapts to a variety of soil types
  • Water regularly until established, then only during prolonged drought
  • Cut back old foliage in late winter before new spring growth begins
