Description:
Native flowering vine with clusters of tubular red to coral blooms that attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and pollinators. Semi-evergreen in mild climates and excellent for trellises, fences, and arbors. More restrained and heat tolerant than invasive Japanese honeysuckle.

Planting Tips:

  • Provide a trellis, fence, or support structure for climbing
  • Prune lightly after flowering to shape and encourage growth
  • Mulch roots to retain moisture during hot Texas summers
