Description:
A small native Texas tree known for its graceful form and distinctive black seed pods that resemble a string of beads. In spring it produces clusters of fragrant white flowers that attract pollinators. Drought tolerant once established and well suited to Texas landscapes.

  • Plant in well-drained soil with full sun exposure

  • Water regularly during establishment, then reduce watering

  • Protect young trees from heavy frost during early growth
