Description: Wild Bergamot, also known as Bee Balm, is a native perennial known for its aromatic leaves and clusters of lavender to pink flowers that bloom from mid-summer to early fall. This plant is highly attractive to pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It’s a great addition to native plant gardens, wildflower meadows, and herb gardens, adding both beauty and ecological value.

Planting Tips:

  • Plant in well-drained soil, preferably rich in organic matter.
  • Space plants about 18-24 inches apart to allow for good air circulation.
  • Water regularly, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged.
  • Deadhead spent flowers to encourage further blooming.
  • Cut back in late fall or early spring to promote healthy growth.
